Belize Whale Shark Diving
Scuba diving in Belize is magnificent all year round but during the months of March, April, May and June, on a full moon prepare to be awed. During these months in the area of Gladden Spit Whale Sharks are often spotted. Splash Dive Center offers a high probability encounter with these magnificent creatures during these months.
Diving with Whale Sharks is a breath-taking experience. Whale sharks are often compared to a big puppy. These creatures are known as the world’s largest fish species but are sweet as a pup! Certainly the size and the sudden wave this creature brings with itself will probably give you some goosebumps; but there is no need to be scared. Whale sharks are filter feeder and their main meal is plankton. Whale sharks commonly swim near the water’s surface scooping up tiny plants, animals, and small fish.
